Program Description

 Successful strategies to enhance and improve patient safety require a strong commitment to team cohesiveness and daily practice. Strong teams offer one of the most effective means of providing quality care, optimizing resources, resolving conflicts, and promoting regular and meaningful communication of important information. This seminar is designed to teach the fundamentals of team transformation. Included in the program are the basic elements and a toolkit to begin and maintain a team focus in an office practice.

Objectives

After completing this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the elements of an effective team.

  • Recall strategies to embed the team process in an office practice.

  • Identify ways to customize tools used to maintain a strong team presence.
