Objectives
After completing this activity, learners will be able to:
- Implement changes to address risk areas in their outpatient psychiatric office setting
- Ensure their documentation meets the requirements for managing psychiatric medical records, including psychotherapy notes
- Identify patient situations for which physicians are mandated to report to law enforcement or other outside agencies
- Define information to consider before making a decision to terminate a physician-patient relationship
- Improve systems that track tests and consultations to ensure safe patient care
